Kate, Juliet and Smokey
So what is up with Smokey and the ladies? Did they do something to trigger his presence as they trekked back to Othersville? You can hear a CV (Cerberus Vent) open during that first encounter. Did Ben or Jacob send Smokey out to bolster Juliet's con on Kate that they are in it together? Or can Ben's group really not control Smokey?
The second time around, is Smokey coming for Juliet or for Kate? And can he see through mud?

Smokey?
I just watched What Kate Did and I'm more confused than
ever when it comes to this Island and what's going on. Is
this horse seen by Kate alone at the beginning of the episode
when she hasn't had any sleep and has been worried about
Sawyer Smokey?
How about "Why did you kill me?" Wayne-channeling Sawyer?
Something happened to lead to Sawyer being on the ground.
Just crazy Kate or more?
And what about the black horse seen by both Kate and Sawyer
and actually touched by Kate? By the way, I think it neighed
backwards. Just kidding.
In all, okay more, seriousness, Smokey has had past run-ins
with Kate both in The Pilot and in the S1 finale. So is this
horse the smoke monster in the form of a horse or is it one
of the Others' horses on the loose? Is it the same horse that
appeared in the flashback setting Kate free to run from the
Marshal? Or is it just a similar horse like Sayid's cat in S3?
Finally, if the horse in the flashback permitted Kate to run
why does she now interpret its appearance as permission to
stop running?
There have been recent discussions regarding Mrs. Hawking's
time rules and Damon Lindelof's statement that they apply.
I wish we had someone to elaborate on the rules of Smokey.

Would Smokey Wear White
Tennis Shoes With a Suit?
So what is with Jack seeing Christian Shephard
in Episode 1.5 "White Rabbit?" Is it Smokey?
Is it some other Island manifestation? Is Jack
merely hallucinating? And is whatever caused
this the same thing that led to Christian Shephard's
voice on the shark tank intercom?

Hero or Villain?
While listening to the Michael Emerson interview in
Episode 93 of Comic News Insider Emerson said he's
always assumed despite all evidence to the contrary that
Ben is going to turn out to be a hero. What do you think?
Are the following Heroes or Villains?
- Benjamin Linus
- Jack Shephard
- John Locke
- Kate Austen
- James "Sawyer" Ford
- Juliet Burke
- The Island
- Jacob
- Smokey

I've started rewatching LOST from Season 1 and the good
news is that I'll have to watch more than 1 episode a week
to watch it all before Season 4 starts.
The question for today is what's the deal with Vincent?
Did he land in the jungle, manage to spring his crate and
then go looking for food and water on his own? Or did
something else happen? Is Vincent really a live yellow
lab or is he Smokey or some other Island manifestation?
Is Vincent the mole in our LOSTies camp?

Why Did Smokey Do This?
Smokey took out the pilot in less than 24 hours, but he's
let Locke, Kate, Jack, Charlie and Juliet live. Any ideas why?
