Heh, well I guess that it would be like putting a hunter in charge of the guns. Or, Jin in charge of the fishing. Everyone to their expertise I guess. Did Jack know that Hurley worked at a fast food place? :o)
So Rose became queen of Laundry because....? Nah, I think she just chose that to keep sane.
Fat guy in charge of food seems logical. Dieting fat guy in charge of food is cruel, but no one knew Hurley was trying to lose weight.
All mango diet, indeed!
