Even Good Dads Lead To Daddy Issues

This one is strange to me. What on earth had Kate, a straight
A student with no prior arrests and just a couple of speeding
tickets done that the man who raised her as his child knew
she had murder in her heart? I guess its related to some
behavior he witnessed when he and young Kate were in the woods.
But still. If all Wayne had done was drink, waste her mom's
money and occasionally beat Diane up, why did Kate kill the
producer of half her DNA?

Unlike Locke's wheelchair story, What Kate Did has never set
well with me as an explanation for why Kate is the way she is.

I agree Memphish. When he said that I thought that he was so mean. I would like to know what TPTB have to say to explain that scene.

I think he saw a change in Kate after his divorce from her mom, and the advent of Wayne in her life. The anger that can grow in kids of divorce can be quite a monster, and maybe that's what he saw in Kate's heart.

Being a military man, he probably can tell when a soldier has gone from doing his duty to murdering the enemy.

Great point A2BH. I figure it's something like that too as exhibited by excessive force on a bunny or other woodland friend of Bambi's. I guess I don't really want to see that flashback, but it would help me understand a little better.
