So Now That We're Flashing
In All Directions, Will We Get
A Family Flash?

Heading into Season 4 I wonder if we'll ever get
the story of what happened at LAX when Flight 815 didn't
land. It was Hurley's mom's birthday. Ana Lucia's mom
was going to be reunited with her missing daughter.
Zach and Emma's mom was meeting them. Jack's mom was
going to bury her husband.

After watching The Other 48 Days, I hope this story
will be episode 4.1. The Pilot gave us the crash from the
point of view of our main LOSTies. The Other 48 Days,
Episode 2.7, showed the crash for the Tailies. (I now wish it
had been Episode 2.1 though that would have created a huge
outcry.) Episode 3.1 gave us the crash for The Others, so I
think 4.1 giving us the crash from the point of view of the
families would be cool.

Now that would be a terrific episode, although for the season opener it might also cause an outcry.

Maybe 4.2?

I agree that The Other 48 would have been better placed at the beginning of S2. For a while there last summer I even kept thinking that it was when I was telling my fellow family fans about it. But could we have standed not seeing how our Losties fared the finale? Like you said, I don't think so.

It would be nice for TPTB to squish the reactions of the ones left waiting at LAX into a flashback or two, but I wouldn't want to them to spend too much time on it. Maybe instead some of the FFs will show reunions with those people who thought that they were dead, that would be weird.

At first I thought a family flashback would be a nice SOS or Expose diversion, but after TO48D, I thought it would be a good season opener that could be combined with rescue as well. I suppose I could look at spoilers to see if I'm on the right track, but I don't want to.

Aw go ahead, look! Heheh, JK.

I could see those two topics juxtapositioned in that way, for sure.

mmm I really don't know. It is about time that we see the crash through the loved ones eyes. If not the loved ones, then someone that we would find even more interesting...

I don't think I really want to spend a lot of time in finding out how those waiting at LAX reacted to Flight 815 not making it. Maybe a FB or FF here and there. I don't want to "waste" any time away from the regulars and the story line.

Since before season three, I've been eager to see the outside world's reaction to the disappearance of flight 815. I'm sure the flashforwards will provide a glimpse of it, but I'd like to see the world reaction on September 22, 2004. I'd also like to see the reaction to the eventual discovery of the plane off the coast of Bali.

It would be awesome to see the flashback of the 815 families, friends, and law enforccement waiting for them. I don't think I would like it as a season opener though - too many questions about other stuff is pending.

Great idea, hope TPTB are keeping tabs on your blog!
